TerraShift was founded to create a fellowship program that would help recent college graduates find work with high-impact organizations, so that they could go on to develop meaningful careers. Since inception, we worked with close to a dozen Pittsburgh-based nonprofits, giving them the support they needed to focus on the things they do best - from environmental protection to innovative education. As we worked with these clients, we realized that developing the fellowship program was taking away from our ability to deliver immediate value to both the college grads and the clients we were working with.

After attending the 2011 Unreasonable Institute program, we decided to pivot TerraShift into a full-service talent staffing company and rebrand it ReWork. Though we shifted our focus and strategy, our goals remain the same. ReWork serves impact-driven organizations by providing them with access to a constant stream of talented young professionals to work on projects or take full-time positions. This will allow us to deliver more value to the organizations we serve, while offering the people who work for us even greater opportunities to find work that they truly love.
